Celebrate the first annual INDIGENOUS PEOPLES INDEPENDENCE DAY
"Now is the time for Indigenous Peoples to be at the forefront of a transformative agenda that leaves no one behind." -- UN Deputy Secretary General Jan Eliasson, United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, 20 April - 1 May 2015
Like the fall of the Berlin Wall, help us make history by spreading this message!
In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the signing of the United Nations' founding document, the UN Charter, at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco, on June 26, 1945, we the Indigenous Peoples will mark a new beginning to restore the indigenous nations to their rightful place by also celebrating the signing of the Indigenous Peoples United Nations (IPUN) Charter, on June 26, 2015.
For 500 years the world's indigenous nations have been blocked by mental walls, which are stronger than the Berlin Wall. The frustrations of the indigenous nations’ rights are still happening today. These are maintained by colonial institutions that continue to stonewall them, to kill and imprisoned them, to take away their freedoms, to destroy their cultures, to lock them out of opportunities, and to silence them, including stealing their land and resources.
This year, on June 26th, many of the indigenous nations, also known as the original peoples, from all over the world will celebrate and declare their independence. After their Declaration of Independence the indigenous nations will be unified into a new cooperative confederacy of nations called the Indigenous Peoples United Nations (IPUN), which will in time become an alliance of 370 million indigenous people from 70 different countries.
The unification of all the independent sovereign indigenous nations is an opportunity to restore balance and harmony to Mother Earth, and to create a new era of peace, justice, spiritual renewal, cooperation and healing for all of our Human Family.
Many ancient prophecies, such as the Anishnabe Prophecy of The 8th Fire, the Prophecy of The Reunion of the Condor and Eagle and Beyond, and the Hopi Life Plan Prophecy, tell about a coming time of a great change in human consciousness, a purification of the mind of humankind.
The June 26th events will be a milestone in the indigenous nations' history and will help fulfill part of the sacred promise of our ancestors, the spiritual rebirth of the world's indigenous nations which will bring about the healing of our Mother Earth and all of her Children.
The Anishnabe Nation of the Ottawa River Watershed (ANORW) is hosting and initiating this Indigenous Peoples Declaration of Independence campaign.
They are urgently calling upon all indigenous nations to join them in this Declaration to break down the colonial walls of bondage.
"We call upon all the people of Mother Earth who cry for freedom, who cry for peace, who cry for unity and who cry for justice, to join hands with us and take back control of Mother Earth in celebration of this first annual Indigenous Peoples Independence Day!"
You can participate in any of the events celebrating this occasion around the world, onsite or online!
Help us make history by spreading this message widely, as soon as possible!
